The Maine Brew Bus has partnered for the second year with the Maine Red Claws, the NBA G-League basketball affiliate of the Boston Celtics, to present a special Hops and Hoops tour before 11 select home games during the 2017-18 season.
The Maine Red Claws will begin the 2017-18 season at home on Nov. 3 against Delaware. The Red Claws will play a 50-game regular season schedule, including 24 home games, all to be played at the Portland Expo.
A special Hops and Hoops tour will leave from in front of the Portland Exposition building in Portland before every Thursday and Friday home game. This is a combination tour and Maine Red Claws game ticket package.
The 3:00pm tour will bring guests to three local breweries, distilleries and/or wineries. Guests will learn about each business, meet owners and staff, take brief tours (if available), and have an opportunity to sample their craft alcohol products.
The tour will arrive back at the Portland Expo at 6:30pm, approximately 30 minutes before scheduled game tip off.
Transportation, bottled water, gratuities at each stop, as well as a Maine Red Claws reserved game ticket for each individual are all included.
Guests purchasing alcohol for later consumption will be able to leave their purchases secured in the team general offices for the duration of the game.
Tickets are priced at just $55 per person, and all guests must be at least 21 years of age at the time of the tour.
Each guest will also receive a food voucher to be redeemed at that game good for one hamburger, hot dog, or pizza slice, along with a soft drink and ice cream of choice.
In addition, each guest will receive a coupon for 15% off team store merchandise available at the game.
